‘Kanye asked for a face-to-face with Jay, to hash out the beef that was ignited when Kanye went onstage last Fall and went after Jay, Beyonce and even Blue Ivy,’ a source told TMZ.

The rapper opened up about the topic of of his tense relationship with Kanye, 40, in a short minute-long clip released on TMZ the same day.

‘We’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many, it’s part of who we are, that’s what I liked about him, he’s this honest person, he’ll say things – and he’s wrong a lot of times – and we’ll confront it.’

The 99 Problems hit-maker’s words were in reference to Kanye’s onstage remarks during a now infamous concert November 19 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on his Saint Pablo Tour, that ended abruptly after the artist walked offstage.

He said in the show, ‘Beyonce, I was hurt because I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling’ … sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win.

‘F*** winning, f*** looking cool. f*** looking cool. f*** being cool. f*** all that, bruh.’

Kanye sniped at Brooklyn’s prodigal son in his rant, saying, ‘Jay-Z, call me, bruh. You still ain’t called me. Jay-Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man.’

West had referenced Blue Ivy during his concert at Key Arena in Seattle in October, grousing that Jay-Z hadn’t called him in the wake of his wife Kim Kardashian being robbed at gunpoint in Paris earlier that month.

He said, ‘Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say, “How you feelin?” You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house.

The Grammy-winner’s answers came after he was asked about his track Kill Jay Z, which many perceived to be a Kanye diss track – which Jay-Z claimed it was not – but more of an introspective song in which he’s ‘talking to [himself] the whole time.’

Another cause of tension between the duo was apparently down to Kanye being owed money by streaming service Tidal, owned by Jay Z.

According to multiple sources, at the heart of the issue is money Kanye’s team claims Tidal owes him for marketing efforts, including video production, as well as a bonus for subscriber thresholds met as was agreed upon ahead of the release of West’s February 2016 album, The Life of Pablo.

It’s reported that the rapper’s attorneys fired off several letters demanding he get paid approximately the $3 million owed.
