Kevin Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner, also apologized Sunday night to get whatever he said “could have been profoundly improper drunken behavior” following the actor Anthony Rapp produced an accusation on his sexual behavior with him 31 decades back, when Mr. Rapp was 14 years old.

Mr. Spacey, who’s been personal about his private life, explained in a declaration he didn’t remember any such experience, yet added that Mr. Rapp’s accusation “was encouraged me to tackle different matters about my own life{}” Then he revealed he had “loved and’d amorous encounters with guys during my entire life, and I pick today to live as a homosexual man{}”

The quick cycle of accusation and apology started Sunday evening, even when BuzzFeed printed an article where Mr. Rapp alleged that Mr. Spacey “was attempting to get together with me sexually” following having a party at Mr. Spacey’s flat in 1986. After the rest of the guests had left, Mr. Rapp stated that Mr. Spacey, who seemed drunk, “picked up me just like a dress picks the bride across the threshold. However, I really don’t, such as, squirm off originally, since I am like, ‘What is happening?’ And he then lays back on me{}”

Mr. Rapp, who’s famous for playing the role Mark Cohen from the first Broadway production of “Rent,” supported the contents of this report and stated he had determined to speak out in a period when a few girls have accused the manufacturer Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment and attack.

“I came along with my narrative, standing on the back of many brave women and men who’ve been talking out, to glow a light and make a difference, since they’ve done for me personally,” Mr. Rapp said in an emailed statement. “Everything I needed to say concerning my expertise is in that guide, and that I don’t have any additional comment about it in this moment.”

Mr. Spacey hadn’t reacted to requests for comment in BuzzFeed. However, a couple of hours after this article was printed, he published an announcement to Twitter, stating that he had been “horrified” but didn’t recall the experience.

Mr. Rapp said that he met with Mr. Spacey in 1986 when both have been doing in Broadway shows. Mr. Rapp was a kid actor in a brand new drama called “Precious Sons,” while Mr. Spacey, then 26, was acting at a revival of “Long Day’s Journey Into Night.” Mr. Rapp advised BuzzFeed he met with Mr. Spacey in a Broadway celebration that year, which Mr. Spacey encouraged him into the party in which the sexual improvement occurred.

Erin Quill, a performer, stated Mr. Rapp informed her allegation years back. “He explained that the story from 1992 and that I dwell by Anthony’s accounts,” she explained in an email on Sunday night.

Mr. Spacey, now 58, is now a renowned celebrity who sponsored the year’s Tony awards; he won his own Oscars in 1996 for “The typical Suspects” and in 2000 for “American Beauty,” and a Tony Award in 1991 for “Lost in Yonkers.” He stars like Frank Underwood on “House of Cards.”

Mr. Rapp, now 46, is now featured on the tv show “Star Trek: Discovery.”

Mr. Spacey’s choice to mention homosexuality as a portion of an answer to an accusation he made a sexual advance to get a slight attracted criticism from several on social networking.
